This is a new .061 - .250 Minus Gage Pin Set put out by the Vermont Gage Company. This set is unique because the pins have Black Guard black oxide treatment on them. Typically penetrating .00004" to .00006", black oxide gives you a visual wear indication to wear pattens allowing inspector to calibrate or replace gage pins more effectively.
